Samos

The airport is named after Aristarchos of Samos, an ancient astronomer and mathematician, and lies within 5 km of the nearby town of Pythagorio. It has operated since 1963. In 2000 the terminal was renovated and the capacity of the airport was increased to allow for rising passenger numbers.
