Kerkyra

Corfu Airport, founded in 1937, was named after Ioannis Kapodistrias, a distingushed diplomat and the first governor of Greece. The approach and landing, in a northeasterly direction, offer the flying crew and passengers a spectacular aerial view of the famous Pontikonisi, as the runway used for landing is actually a few hundred meters away from this landmark.
